Marvin D. Teplitzky

June 16, 1934-December 4, 2014

Marvin Teplitzky was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from New York University and was a principal since 1962 in the accounting firm of Sagal Jacobs before becoming Teplitzky & Company, P.C. Marvin and Diane Teplitzky were married for fifty-seven years. They raised their children, Joshua (Linda), Jeffrey (Robyn), and Jennifer (James) in Orange, Connecticut before spending time in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Marvin was active in all aspects of the New Haven community and assumed many leadership roles. He was a Chairperson of the New Haven Pops Concerts, served on Woodbridge Country Club Board as its Treasurer, Vice President, and President. In addition, Marvin was a member of the Board of Governors of the CT Society of CPA's and also served as an advisory board member to several banks.

He was also an avid coach for several of his children's little league and basketball teams.

In the Jewish community, Marvin was a past president of Jewish Family Services of Greater New Haven, treasurer of the Jewish Federation, a board member of the Jewish Foundation, Men's Club of Congregation B'nai Jacob and the CT ADL.

Marvin's greatest legacy are his grandchldren, Taylor, Marlee, Molly, and Jacob Teplitzky, Spencer and Miranda Lichtman.
